You have one of the youngest teams in the league and you just traded your '76 1st round pick for 28 year old Brian Grant. Do you feel that you have a team that can compete right away, building for the future or will you be looking to make more moves to increase your chances at making the playoffs?

Bob Allen here, do you think Carter has the potential to be the league MVP this year?

Do you feel that you have a team that can compete right away, building for the future or will you be looking to make more moves to increase your chances at making the playoffs? Subsequent to the Briant Grant move, I made another one to solidify my tenuous Point Guard situation by adding the extremely gifted Jalen Rose to the mix. Prior to Rose I believe that I would have been hard pressed to compete with such a gaping hole in the lineup, however, now I feel we can compete for the championship. I've gone all in to try and bring the Renegade World Title to New York City, leaving no stone unturned. I've traded two of my 1st round draft picks so I'm all in with a win now mindset. My team is pretty set at this point with the exception of possibly moving my final draft pick to generate money for more camps. Otherwise, we're ready to ball til we fall! (whatcha think of that? hehe) Good question, btw!

how excited are you to be starting with a new team and what expectations for this team? I'm so thrilled and over the moon about starting up a team that is immediately in contention. I'm a 'win now' kind of GM whom has little 'Patience' so don't be singing that Guns 'N Roses song to me. lol Any ways, we're racking up an amazing 115 PPG scored as a unit and a near 60 RPG - those are remarkable figures that any other team will have measuring up to. We're set throughout our rotation with the exception of the back-up PG position. I believe we're serious contenders to take the title home, however, it requires tons of dedication and never losing focus. We're going to try to lock down the #1 seed and ride that wave throughout the playoffs but that's getting way ahead of myself as there's an entire season to play and so many variables that comes into play.

Bob Allen here, do you think Carter has the potential to be the league MVP this year? I believe he has the potential to be the Scoring Champion as he's currently second in the league behind Chris Webber at 29.7 PPG and we'll be looking to have him cross over the 30 PPG barrier where a $$$ reward awaits. Now as it pertains to MVP I think Vince Carter's across the board statistics won't measure up to other candidates for the prestigious award. (7.7 RPG/3.4 APG, 1.9 SPG) That's not going to get it done in terms of securing the award. Only way I see Vince Carter being the inaugural UC MVP would be if his scoring average ascended to 35 PPG and was heads and shoulders above the field on a Knicks team that was clearly the league's best record wise. That's way too much fantasy to ever happen, however, you never know...

well i suck at betting so here goes some more questions lol who do you see as your biggest obstacle in the east? Certainly, the Milwaukee Bucks. They're leading the Eastern Conference with an 18-4 record and possess an 11 point difference in Points Scored vs. Points Allowed. At 90.5 PPG allowed they have one of the league's best and have some flexibility with Scottie Pippen on their roster to give Vince Carter fits in a playoff matchup. Also, Darrell Armstrong and Jalen Rose have similar talent levels and should play at a standstill. Brian Grant down low in the post and his interior scoring ability sets me apart from the Bucks and should lead me to ultimately prevail if we match up in the playoffs but we shall see. They're quite the formidable foe.

Who do you see as your biggest obstacle in the west if you make it to the championship? The Denver Nuggets. Highly active GM whom like me is looking to and is in 'win now' mode. Slick possibly boasts a more potent scoring tandem of Grant Hill and Dirk Nowitzki, which is superior to mine. (Rose and Carter) Not many teams, if any, could say that. Sam Cassell can also run an offense just as effectively as Jalen Rose. Down in the post Bradley and Divac possess dominate defensive traits that could mitigate Fortson and Grant on the offensive side of the court for me. The Denver Nuggets are definitely in a position to make some noise and are prepared for a long run in the second season, the playoffs.

your scoring 115 ppg is this different for you? I don't remember your other teams being so high scoring? No, I rock a very fast offense now in all leagues and I do get near that plateau or hover around it, however, the difference is that if you relate it to IBA's first season where scoring was much, much lower like it is here - then you'd have to view the 115 PPG my squad is putting up as more near 125 PPG or something inflated. So on that scale I would say that I've never had a team scoring at such a clip and lapping the field when it comes to putting up those #'s. It's fun and exciting to witness. Not used to be the Miami Heat of the IBA or the New York Knicks of the ITP and this is how it feels right now.
