I think we need to figure out what contract structure is being used for the dispersal, that's extremely important, and I also think that we should fill the league before drafting, you're going to auto a LOT of teams not sure what you mean here exactly fill me in you don't think people will get bored of waiting for the league to fill?

Well, for IBA we did it so every draft pick in the first 2 rounds I believe was 10 mil a year fro 4 years, then 8 mil a year for 3 years then 6 mil for 2 years etc etc, so that we knew who was being drafted when...for instance, suns have tim duncan. Ok, well how much are they paying him? How long is that contract?

And TBH I don't know who's pushing for a dispersal draft to start RIGHT NOW, if there's a big push no problem, but I'm wondering if the elague wouldn't be better served by waiting til there's about 20 owners, as opposed to less than half (we sit at 12 i beleive, 13 when i join and pick my team)

what are the contracts fro draft picks here it looks like the cpu gave the number 1 pick kobe 8.9 m per year for 4 years duncan got 8.8 m per year for 4 years OK so the computer has a set amount they're giving players for the dispersal draft? Dow e know when the 4 years ends? Round 2?

FWIW, I don't have a problem with going ahead with the dispersal draft as long as the auto'd teams are getting quality players. It keeps everyone that joined early interested and for those that come after the draft, they will be able to look at the make-up of the GM-less teams and make a choice based on their own style. Also, the draft will go much quicker with not having to wait for people to log in to make their picks, esp. with a dispersal draft. Edit: You guys posted a few posts while I was typing this up so I just want to say for the record that I'm not 'pushing' for the draft. The above is just my opinion...lol

so question is do we want to stop the draft or just let cpu pick players for teams with no owner and then start the league like that..........with this many players I am sure the cpu will pick good players also for teams.

That's entirely up to you...it's your league and I, for one, will be fine with whatever you decide.

My concern is certainly not talent, the computer will pick talent that's true, just a concern for GM's coming in in, like round 4-6 and trying to find a team that fits them or not liking any teams, but hey, I'm here, I'll pick just fine! lol

It's going to take several days to finish the draft as is, moving forward isn't the worst thing in the world! Plus, maybe after a few auto picks I'll figure out who I want too many good players right now, and I'm leaving the Kings open for Solley in case he joins

i think i will run it like it is now and every human team has 3 hours. A new GM can come in at anytime and start making picks for their team.
with this many good players I don't think anyone will feel sleighted at all.
